Ship’s History (Virtual)

The USS Maquis is a Defiant Class Escort, designed in about the same period of “future history” as the Galaxy-class Large Exploratory Cruiser. The Maquis was the forth Defiant-class ship placed in service to provide a highly maneuverable vessel equipped with a new array of weapons to counter the Borg invasion. In other words the Maquis is a virtual gunboat.

This is the shake down cruise to assess all systems before heading towards Bajoran space to assist in the Dominion Conflict.

Ship’s History (Actual)

The USS Maquis was organized as a shuttlecraft (new-startup chapter) within STARFLEET, the International Star Trek Fan Association, Inc., in May 1, 2020. The Maquis launched from the USS Ronald E. McNair in Columbia, South Carolina. Led by Frank Parker and Gary Davis the new shuttlecraft will be a chapter in training for 9 months before she will be commissioned a full Starship (ten active STARFLEET members The Maquis is part of Region One within STARFLEET, We are a correspondence chapter which means we conduct all meetings, communication and role playing through the internet.

H ave fun.
T alk to each other – communicate ideas.
E xperience life and all the wonderful things it has to offer.
Remind ourselves that we are but a small part in the universe.
