Where are we going to meet

The USS Maquis will meet in the IRC CHAT ROOM on the last Friday Night of every month from September to June. Select USS Maquis Chat Room on the sidebar for access.

• Just a quick summery of some things you may see that help move the meeting along smoothly.
• When the meeting begins the first officer or their appointee will call the room to attention. Please type AA to let us know you are focused on the meeting.
• During a discussion, please refrain from cross talking in the conference area. If you have a question, type RH and wait to be recognized.
• You may also want to ‘private IM’ if you have a point to bring up so the moderators can work you in.
• If you have, a subject or report you will be making during the meeting one way to save time is to prepare your notes a head of time so you can cut and paste.
• For lengthy subjects the presenter should ask everyone to type R when finished reading so we do not go to fast and leave anyone behind.
• Meeting minutes will be recorded at all senior staff meetings and general meetings. Responsibility for recording the minutes will be shared by all staff members, to be selected at the previous meeting, and rotated to a new scribe each month.
• There scribe will prepare the minutes for publications and distribution at the next staff or general meeting. The use of the chat list can be used as an immediate distribution vehicle, but a hard copy will need to be reviewed and accepted at the following meeting, and available for those who are not on-line.
• Once the meeting minutes are accepted as part of the record, they will be considered official Chapter documents and a copy will be maintained by the Chapter Records Officer.
